In November 2020, during my gap year after college, I started working at Watson Woodhouse Solicitors. I was originally an admin assistant in the conveyancing department before I joined the Solicitor Higher Apprenticeship Programme in September 2021.

I have had the opportunity to work in several different departments and offices of the firm including the Housing department, Magistrates, and Crown Court. My experience so far in different areas of law has taught me many valuable skills, which I always put into practice when dealing with clients to provide the best assistance.

During my time on the apprenticeship programme, I studied law at Northumbria University and graduated with First Class Honors. I have now begun my training contract, alongside studying the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law, to qualify as a solicitor.

I am currently working in the Private Prosecution department where we seek to initiate criminal proceedings against identified suspects of a crime in relation to fraud and other dishonesty offences. My role within this department requires me to assist clients who have been the victim of such offences by advising and helping them through the process of criminal litigation to prosecute the responsible party.

I am also an accredited Police Station Representative. I qualified in this role in August 2023, after completing the Police Station Representative Accreditation Scheme (PSRAS) with Cardiff University. I advise and represent clients at the police station who have been accused of a criminal offence and require a legal representative.

My experience across different areas of criminal law enables me to have a well-rounded understanding of the criminal justice system which I implement when dealing with clients. I represent clients both locally and nationally providing them with carefully considered advice and always endeavouring to act in their best interests.
