Nathan Robertson
In 2026, I graduated from BPP University with a Master of Laws (Distinction), which incorporated preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1). I passed SQE1 in February 2026 and am preparing to sit SQE2.
Alongside my previous legal studies, I worked in the Legal and Business Affairs team at an established international record label and music publisher for over four years. Among my responsibilities was the drafting, negotiation, and closing of a wide range of contracts, alongside reviewing and negotiating third-party agreements. This role enabled me to develop strong commercial awareness and further enhance my ability to provide comprehensive legal support and advice to both external partners and internal teams.
I am currently undertaking my Training Contract in the Crown Court Criminal Defence Department at Watson Woodhouse Solicitors. As part of my professional development, I have the opportunity to attend police station interviews and observe proceedings in both the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court. I am also working towards obtaining Police Station Accreditation, which will enable me to advise and represent clients during police station interviews.
