Sarah Smith
Having graduated from Northumbria University in 2007 with my LLB (Hons) in Law and LPC, I began my legal career working for a national law firm as a defendant personal injury paralegal. I moved over to claimant work at a firm in York three years later where I remained until 2017.
Following this, I worked at Teesside University in the Student Law Office assisting the students in providing free legal advice on a wide range of issues including family, housing, employment and civil/small claims matters. This provided me with the opportunity to gain experience across various areas of law.
I joined Watson Woodhouse in 2021 and embarked on my Training Contract in September 2022. I currently work in the family team where I represent clients in public law care proceedings, private law family matters and domestic violence.
I am due to qualify as a Solicitor in March 2024, where I hope to continue to specialise in family law.
