by Watson Woodhouse

A motorcyclist from Wickford, Essex was injured in a collision with a car on Thursday 9th July.

The accident occurred on the Old London Road, Rawreth. Paramedics who answered the call found the motorcyclist unconscious however his condition began to improve shortly after.

The injured man had been thrown from his motorbike during the impact and had skidded along the road. Despite suffering injuries to his head, shoulders, collarbone and legs, Martin Mowle, the paramedic who attended the scene said the rider “was wearing full protective clothing, which demonstrates that wearing such gear including a crash helmet can prevent serious injuries”.
