Amelia Beyaslian
I am a solicitor specialising in Housing Disrepair at Watson Woodhouse, where I assist tenants dealing with a range of issues, from damp and mould to inadequate heating and infestations. My clients are primarily tenants in social housing or private rentals, often facing challenging disputes with councils, housing associations or private landlords.
In addition to my housing disrepair work, I handle Environmental Protection Act (EPA) cases, addressing environmental hazards and Statutory Nuisances, such as rodent invasions. My background in civil litigation, including Noise-Induced Hearing Loss and GDPR claims, has provided me with a range of claimant experience to apply to the diverse cases I manage.
When helping clients through housing disrepair issues, circumstances can also include faulty wiring, leaks and structural deterioration.
My approach is thorough and client-focused. I am dedicated to ensuring that my clients receive the necessary repairs and compensation, all while navigating the complexities of the legal system with empathy and professionalism.
I am proud to help lead a dedicated team within the firm, currently managing paralegals and trainee solicitors. My role involves guiding and mentoring team members, ensuring that we deliver exceptional service to our clients.
For cases where disrepair has resulted in health issues, I work closely with our Personal Injury team to ensure a seamless service, allowing clients to access comprehensive legal support across multiple practice areas.
Our work is often referred by the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), personal recommendations, our housing helping and other law firms, highlighting the trust that both clients and organisations place in our expertise.
I am always happy to have a confidential chat with clients, as well as other legal professional looking to join our expanding team.
