I was delighted to join Watson Woodhouse in March 2018 and become a member of a thoroughly professional organisation who really care for their clients.
My first job as a teenager after leaving college was with the Civil Service at the Middlesbrough County Court, which whetted my appetite for the law. I gained valuable experience over a 5 year period, before I left to join a local firm of solicitors in Teesside.
I completed my Legal Executive qualifications in 1996, became a Fellow in 1998, before then completing my Law Degree and attending Northumbria University to fully qualify as a Solicitor in 1999. I left Williamson Hill where I had worked for 15 years, in 2006 when I decided to join Macks Solicitors, where I played a key role in the Personal Injury Department for 11 years. I then worked as a locum solicitor in Wakefield for a large PI company in a department specialising in Employment and Public Liability Complex claims.
Over the last 25 years I have continued to specialise in personal injury litigation acting for, and helping clients to recover compensation for their injuries and losses after an accident or assault. I have particular expertise in tripping and slipping type accidents, road traffic accidents and actions against Public Authorities.
I am proud to look after and represent the people of Durham and the Tees Valley, and I have worked in a number of areas helping people from Middlesbrough, Redcar, Darlington and Stockton on Tees, and often from further afield.
I pride myself on providing only the best service to all my clients and there is nothing more rewarding than when a new client comes to me as a result of a recommendation from somebody I have acted for in the past. I strive to be efficient, professional, friendly and sympathetic and I leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for accident victims, and those who have suffered after having been subjected to unlawful treatment by Public Authorities. I am passionate about doing what I can to help people recover from their physical and psychological injuries following an accident, not just to secure fair compensation for their suffering.
I am a member of Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, DIY, watching sports and spending precious time with my family. I am also a keen cyclist and have completed the Coast to Coast raising funds for charity.
