David Dedman
I qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and specialise in criminal defence.
I have worked in the criminal justice system for over 30 years and for Watson Woodhouse for over 25 years. Although I have Higher Rights and can appear in the Crown Court, I choose to represent clients in the magistrates’ court. I deal with a wide variety of cases ranging from speeding to high profile murders. It is the sheer variety of people and cases that I enjoy most about my job.
I have a particular interest in acting for clients in the youth court and dealing with road traffic cases.
Most people accused of a crime are intimidated by the process of appearing in court and very concerned about the outcome whether that is a disqualification from driving or a prison sentence. I enjoy being in court and get immense satisfaction fighting for my clients. I am proud of my record of success.
I enjoy my job as much now as when I first started and I am proud to say I still feel the same excitement before a trial!
