How to prevent work injury
26Jul
Both employers and employees have a responsibility to do what they can to prevent work injury. Safety equipment such as goggles should be provided where necessary. If manual handling will be required, workers need to direct their full attention to the task and employers should ensure that they have received the correct training. Care also needs to be taken to avoid slips and trips by cleaning up spillages, using appropriate cleaning products, replacing worn or torn flooring, removing obstacles from pathways and ensuring lighting is sufficient. If these steps are followed, many work injuries can be prevented.
