Natasha Alderson
In 2024, I graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 LLB Law degree. From my academic studies, I knew I wanted to be a solicitor and to be able to provide comprehensive legal support and representation to others whether that be at the police station or in court.
Currently, I am undergoing a training contract in the Crown Court department at Watson Woodhouse Solicitors. I have had the opportunity to attend police station interviews and go to the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court which has enhanced my understanding of criminal law and the legal procedure in practice. I aim to use the knowledge that I have gained through attending court and interviews when litigating case files and representing clients.
I am also working towards my Police Station Accreditation to advise and represent those accused of crime in the police station, enhancing my professional development.
The experience I have gained throughout my training contract has brought me closer to qualifying as a solicitor. I look forward to applying the knowledge and skills that I have obtained during my training contract to my future role as a qualified solicitor.
