I am both a Crown Court Litigator and Accredited Police Station Representative. My role largely consists of the preparation and management of serious and complex criminal cases in both the Crown Court and Court Martial.

I have considerable experience in matters prosecuted by Service Police (Armed Forces) and have represented service personnel in the UK and Cyprus.

My day-to-day responsibilities include analysis of prosecution evidence, preparing defence strategies, liaising with Counsel and preparing cases for trial.  My caseload spans a broad range of offences including violent crime, sexual offences and drug conspiracies.

Before specialising in criminal defence, I trained within our Family Law department. I have represented clients in complex Child Protection and Public Law Outline (PLO) cases involving children and unborn babies. I have secured many successful outcomes where the Local Authority had de-escalated or withdrawn their involvement after representations were made.

Notable Cases:

December 2025 – represented a youth accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. Following advice given in the police station, the police took no further action against my client.

R v F (February 2026) – client acquitted of a violent robbery following a 2-day trial at Teesside Crown Court.

R v D (May 2026) – client (a youth subject to service law) unanimously acquitted of serious sexual offences following a 4-day trial, thanks to careful and meticulous consideration of the digital evidence.

R v E (June 2026) – client accused of a series of violent offences against his ex-partner, unanimously acquitted following a 3-day trial at Teesside Crown Court.
